Turbohoses Stage 9 Mr2 Intercooler Kit vs. Greddy

Turbohoses has undergone some re-designs with our Intercooler piping to accommodate some of the aftermarket turbo kits. During this process we had a chance to pit our newly designed intercooler piping against the Greddy Kit.

Our test bench vehicle was upgraded with T3/T4, down pipe, Greddy IC Kit, Water Injection, Cotton Intake filter from HKS (no maf), exhaust and custom fuel management along with properly sized injectors. This car normally dyno's an average of 300hp with 15 psi @ 7000 Rpm.

The Mr2 was then upgraded with our Minya Intake w/ airram (no Maf), Turbohoses Stage 9 Intercooler Kit with 3" TB pipe. The water injection was disabled during our run. The final results netted us 305hp at 6000 RPM with 15psi. We were extremely happy to see the WOT hp drop 1000 RPM.

Our kit is designed to be more efficient when high hp upgrades are introduced to the system.

We had to do some little modifications here and there to get it to fit flush but nothing big. The power gain is crazy, I can actually feel it, I had to lower my boost back to 13psi, after the install it jumped to 16psi but since im on stock fuel system and tuning I can boost high.
