1995 BMW M3 Supercharged
The moral of the story- always have a pre-purchase inspection! Unfortunately, our customer trusted the previous owner of this car to disclose all aspects of the car. Obviously, he didn't quite get what he paid for. Engine: After finding fuel in the coolant we opted to examine the motor in further detail. Upon removing the head, we found that the engine may not have been honed with a torque plate and the ARP head studs were over torqued which deformed the cylinder walls. Chassis: Much of the suspension bushings, roll cage mounting plates and OEM pieces were either worn out or not installed correctly. Electrical: During the installation of an Electramotive TechIIIr, we found the harness cut, spliced to a point of discomfort. Not knowing exactly what was done always makes things difficult to diagnose. Our goal is to rebuild this car to new standards and get this car to the track. Dyno Numbers: Our new Supercharged motor runs with a mere 5 psi and puts out 358hp to the wheel and 309 ft. lbs. torque.
